Meika is a beautiful dreamer, but she’s also a doer! I will never forget her standing at my door asking if I thought she could pursue a music degree in addition to her biology degree. I was intrigued by the combination and said “if you are willing to do the work I will support you fully.” She not only completed both degrees, but when on to do graduate work at USC combining the two in true “STEAM” style. I truly believe her education practices are a model for the future. As a mentor to these young science artists she was “in the room” for the MARS landing!
