One of my three brothers, Matt, is an artist and graphic designer. He gave me this image for my birthday one year (there is just nothing better as a gift than something created just for you by someone you love) and I’m thrilled to use his images in my branding. The shadow and scale juxtapose the insecurities we all feel as artists with the possibilities available when we put ourselves out there. The stage, the spotlight, the potential is all accessible with practice, persistence, and passion.

Not to invoke an 80’s cliché, but sometimes you really do have to “just do it.” I’m so grateful to follow my passion and share that passion with others. My rule #1 is just have fun—not to oversimplify the work of making music, but be free to explore, invest your heart and enjoy taking the time to develop excellence. This image “Just Sing” is infused with the tiny letters “sing like heaven sing like hell.” I love how Matthew merged these two ideas of giving your all and taking a plunge to pursue the thing that makes life extraordinary.
